Ten of Jesus’ disciples had the privilege of seeing the resurrected Jesus, in person while locked inside the Upper Room. They reported with great joy to Thomas, who was not present at the time, that their friend Jesus was alive and raised from the dead! Thomas, however, “doubted” their report and demanded experiential proof of Jesus’ existence before believing in Jesus’ resurrection. Thomas’ doubt led him to ask questions, seek clarity which led him to make the strongest statement of faith of all the disciples when upon seeing Jesus’ wounds, he declared, “My Lord and my God!” May our doubts lead us to such strong convictions of faith that we would say that of Jesus Christ.
