In the final installment of this series, we see David finally established as king after decades of learning, preparing and being on the run for his life. Once God’s timing was fulfilled for David to take the throne, he plunged across the goal line to take what he was anointed to take years before – no more waiting, no more tending sheep and playing music for the sitting king – it was time for him to lead. Jesus said we should ask and it shall be given, seek and we shall find, knock and the door will be opened. For David, the door was open and he walked through. When God anoints you for something and the timing is right, you must be prepared to walk through the open door! Don’t stand there knocking on open doors!
